2. Lt General NK Parmar, DG , AFMS along with DGMS (Air), DGMS (Army) and DGMS (Navy) to lay wreath at Amar Jawan Jyoti , India Gate , on the occasion of 246th Anniversary of Army Medical Corps at 11.00 am.

3. President , Pratibha Devisingh Patil , will meet children and will greet to the nation “ Happy New Year “ at Rashtrapati Bhavan at 11.50 am.

4. Madan Lal Khurana will be the chief guest at the 4th International Sardar Patel Award -2009 at Bhartiya Vidya Bhawan at 4.30 pm.

5. Meet Aamir Khan , Sharman Joshi , Madhavan , Boman Irani , Raju Hirani ,Vidhu Vinod Chopra , At BIG Cinemas TGIP Mall, ,Sector 38A, Noida at 6.30 pm.

1. Maoists have given a 24-hour bandh call in five states on January 2 alleging that CPIM cadre fired at a Christmas tribal fair near Lalgarh in West Midnapore district.
