ASSIGNMENT FOR 18th JANUARY , 2010

1. Minister of State for Defence MM Pallam Raju will visit the NCC Republic Day Camp 2010 and address the Officers and cadets at 10. 30 am at DG NCC Republic Day Camp, Garrison Parade Ground, Delhi Cantt.

2. A Seminar , to review and renew the scheme of Sindhi Language Learning of NCPSL in order that a large number of Sindhis in India and overseas can benefit from it , has been organized at India Islamic Centre, New Delhi from 11:00 a.m.

3. Dr. C.P Joshi, Minister of Rural Development , to inaugurate the 10th Editors’ Conference on Social Sector Issues-2010 at 11.30 a.m. at Press Conference Hall, National Press Centre, Shastri Bhawan .

4. Birla Institute of Management Technology, with the Indian Library Association and the Ranganathan Society for Social Welfare and Library Development (RSSWLD), is holding the 55th ILA National Conference at the BIMTECH campus. A curtain-raiser press conference has been organized to showcase the event at Birla Institute of Management Technology , Plot No. 5, Knowledge Park II, Greater Noida (NCR) at 11:30 am.

5. The Ministry of Science and Technology and Bentley Systems will be presenting the award for best the project design model of the Future Cities at 11:30 am at the Taj Mahal Hotel, Mansingh Road. The awards ceremony will be followed with a press conference addressed by Kapil Sibal, Union Minister for Human Resource Development, along with the winning school team.

10. Vasant Sathe will release a book on Legendary Singer & Actor KL Saigal"Kundan" at Film Division Auditorium, Pt. Pant Marg(Mahadev Road) at 2:30 pm. The book release will follow by the screening of Documentary film " Saigal Aye Baso More Man Mein" .

11. Dr. Peter Balazs, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Hungary will lay wreath at the Samadhi of Mahatma Gandhi at 2.45 pm.

12. Jairam Ramesh, Minister of State for the Ministry of Environment and Forests(Independent charge) will address10th Editor’s Conference on Social Sector Issues (ECSSI) at 03.00 pm at Conference Hall, Shastri Bhavan .

13. "Myriad Expressions Hindustan Globalistan" an Exhibition of paintings by talented upcoming artists being organised by AN YAH !! at 4 PM at Travancore Art Gallery, Travancore Palace, Kasturba Gandhi Marg, New Delhi. Roshan Seth and Nasir Abdullah, renowned actors would be present at the venue for the opening.

14. A delegation of Chinese journalists meets SM Krishna , Minister of External Affairs, at Room No. 162 , South Block at 4.30 pm.

15. The Union Minister of Social Justice & Empowerment, Mukul Wasnik will address the 10th Editors’ Conference on Social Sector Issues-2010 at 5. 30 p.m. at Press Conference Hall, National Press Centre, Shastri Bhawan.
