NEWS ASSIGNMENT

ASSIGNMENT FOR 20th JANUARY , 2010

1. Ceremonial welcome for Mohd Najib Tun Abdul Razak, Prime Minister of Malaysia , at 10.00 am at Forecourt , Rashtrapati Bhavan .

2. Sharad Pawar, Minister of Agriculture, Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution will inaugurate the National Conference of State Ministers of Animal Husbandry and Dairy Development at Symposium Hall, NASC, Pusa, at 10 a.m.

3. ORF is organising a day long national level conference on "Mega Project Development: Issues in Land Acquisition" at 10.00 am at ORF. Key Government officials, political activists, activists, experts are taking part in the conference. Pradeep Kumar Jain, Minister of State, Rural Development, will deliver the Valedictory Address at 4.30 pm.

4. Mohd Najib Tun Abdul Razak, Prime Minister of Malaysia ,will lay wreathe at 10.30 am at the Samadhi of Mahatma Gandhi, Rajghat.

5. Press conference to announce the joint venture between Veronafiere and Lotus Exhibitions and Marketing Services, the first Indo-Italian collaboration in MICE sector. The press conference will be addressed by Vandana Malhotra , Vice President LEMS , at 11:00 a.m. at The Park, Connaught Place.

6. Ghulam Nabi Azad, Union Minister for Health & Family Welfare will release National Disaster Management Guidelines on “Psycho-Social Support and Mental Health Services in Disaster” at 11.00 AM at NDMA Bhavan, A-1, Safdarjung Enclave.

7. A high level BJP delegation will meet Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh at South Block at 11.00 am on price rise issue.

11. The first meeting of the Expert Group on Low Carbon Economy will be held in Yojana Bhavan, at 11.00 a.m. in Room No.122. Deputy Chairman, Planning Commission Montek Singh Ahluwalia and Minister for Environment & Forest Jairam Ramesh will participate.
