3. Census Officials will be enumerating Sonia Gandhi , Congress President , at 9.30 AM at 10 , Janpath.

4. Dr. M.S. Gill, Union Minister for Youth Affairs & Sports will  Inaugurate the remodeled and reconstructed  Indira Gandhi Indoor Gymnastics Stadium at 10th April, 2010  at  11.30 am at Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium. Entry through " H" Gate , Adjacent to Secretariat, Delhi Govt. New Delhi.

5. President , Pratibha Devisingh Patil will inaugurate the  ‘Public Sector Day’ being observed for the first time by Department of Public Enterprises in association with SCOPE at 11.30 A.M. at Plenary Hall, Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi

6. ARRACK IN THE AFTERNOON a novel by Mathew Vincent Menacherry will be released at T.G.I.Friday’s    2nd floor, Courtyard, DLF Place, Saket New Delhi on  Saturday, 10 April 2010 at 12.00 p.m. Be there to sip cocktails and listen to Mathew!

ON WATCH - RADAR & FORTHCOMING EVENTS

1. Ranjana’s Academy of Dance, Utsav Educational and Cultural Society, is organizing a two-day international dance festival “Unbound Beats of India”, the third in this series, which will be held on the 12 & 13 April, 2010 at 7 p.m. at Stein Auditorium, India Habitat Centre, Lodhi Road, New Delhi.

2. Gene Campaign and Action Aid are organizing a national conference on Ensuring Food Security in a Changing Climate to generate greater awareness about this issue and to develop recommendations  for action, with stakeholder inputs. The conference is being organized in Delhi on 23 and 24 April, 2010 , at the Constitution Club ( Speakers Hall). Jairam Ramesh will inaugurate the conference. Dr MS Swaminathan will deliver the keynote address and a range of experts will address various aspects of  mitigation and coping with adaptation  in order to support sustainable food security.

3. Lok Sabha to resume its sitting on 15^th April , 2010.

4. All Matathipathis (heads of mutts) and sadhus of South India would convene at Namakkal in Salem on April 18 to discuss the status of religious conversions.

5. Pranab Mukherjee's first visit as finance minister to the USA will be on April 24-25 to attend the Spring Meetings of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank Group .

6. The special court  will pronounce its verdict in Kasab Case on May 3.
