ASSIGNMENT , 14th JULY , 2010

1.      Prime Minister Manmohan Singh will have meeting with chief ministers of Naxal affected states at 10.00 AM at 7 RCR.

2.      US National Security Advisor  James Jones will hold wide-ranging talks with Indian NSA Shivshankar Menon at 10.00 AM  at South Block. The meeting will set the agenda  for Obama's visit to India in November.

3.      Pawan Kumar Bansal, the Union Minister for Water Resources will inaugurate a “Conference of Principal Secretaries/Secretaries of Irrigation, Water Resources and Department of Command Area Development” at 10.00 A.M. at The Auditorium, Central Soil & Material Research Station (CSMRS), Hauz Khas, (opposite old JNU campus), New Delhi.

4.      Lok Janshakti Party is organizing a national convention of party workers from 10:00 AM onwards at Mavlankar hall , VP House. Ramvilas Paswan to chair the meeting.

5.      President Pratibha Devisingh Patil to give away Bharat Scouts and Guides award at rashtrapati Bhavan at 11:00 AM. Reporting time is 10:15 AM.

6.      Harish Rawat, Union Minister of State for Labour and Employment will Chair the meeting of the Industrial Tripartite Committee on Cotton Textile Industry at 11:30 A.M at Conference Hall,(3rd Floor), Bhavishya Nidhi Bhavan, Bhikaji Cama Place, New  Delhi.

7.      A Joint Venture Agreement (JVA) for setting-up of Oman-Indian Joint Investment Fund will be signed between the State Bank of India and States General Reserve Fund (SGRF) of Sultanate of Oman in the presence of Finance Minister of India, Pranab Mukherjee and Ahemed Bin Abdul Nabi Macki, Minister for National Economy and the Deputy Chairman of Financial Affairs Council and Energy Resources, Sultanate of Oman at 11.30 a.m. ITC Maurya Sheraton, S.P. Marg, New Delhi.

     

8.      Anand Sharma, Minister of Commerce & Industry, will address the press conference for the launching of EPIF-2011 at 3:00 PM  at Gulmohar Hall, India Habitat Centre, Lodhi Road, New Delhi .

9.      GMR Group organizes the arrival of the first commercial flight to the new Integrated Terminal 3, with Air India as the partner Airline for promoting Delhi Airport as an International Hub at Terminal 3, IGI Airport, N.Delhi at 3.30 PM. ( Assembly Point: Gate No.4, Departure Level, Terminal 3 ) .

10.  Indian Medical Association is observing 15th July, 2010 as National Protest Day throughout the country to protest against the implementation of BRHC (three and a half years course), Clinical Establishment Bill and Dissolution of Medical Council of India.For this the Indian Medical Association is organizing a Press Conference at IMA House, I.P.Marg,  at 3:30 P.M.

11.  On the occasion of the French National Day ( 14th July) the Ambassador of France, Jérôme Bonnafont, will bestow the honour of Officer in the Order of Palmes Académiques on Professors Mushirul Hasan and Kumar Tewari for their contributions in the educational field at 5 P.M. at Embassy of France at 2/50E, Shantipath, Chanakyapuri , New Delhi .

12.  Nissan will be launching its first locally made compact hatchback -the all new Nissan Micra at Hotel Intercontinental Lalit, Barakhamba at 7:00 PM .
