1. FIREFOX BIKES organizes  the “DARE TO CHANGE” RIDE  To mark the closing ceremony of Tour De France from 6:00 AM at Firefox Bike Station, A-12, Lajpat Nagar (adjacent to CTC Plaza, on 3 Cinema’s Road)

2. Dr. Farooq Abdullah, Union Minister for New and Renewable Energy and Sushilkumar Shinde, Union Minister of Power will jointly release the Guidelines for Selection of New Grid Connected Solar Power Projects from 10:00 AM onwards  at Convention Hall, Ashoka Hotel, New Delhi. They will also interact with the media following the release of the Guidelines.

3. LS Speaker to meet leaders of parties in Lok Sabha In Parliament Library Bldg at 11.30 AM.

4. President , Pratibha Devisingh Patil , will attend the Presentation Ceremony of ISO_14001:2004 Certification to President Estate at 11.30 AM at Rashtrapati Bhavan. Reporting Time is 10:45 AM.  

5. Bollywood Actress Ayesha takia will be at Select City Walk from 2:00 PM onwards at a promotional event.

6. Union Finance Minister, Pranab Mukherjee will be holding a meeting with Chairmen of different Regional Rural Banks (RRBs) to review their performance and will hold a Press Briefing at 6.00 P.M.at Commission Room, 3rd Floor, FICCI, Tansen Marg, Near Mandi House.

7. GAYA ( BIHAR ) : Senior General Than Shwe, Chairman State Peace & Development Council, Union of Myanmar , will arrive at Gaya at 10:00 AM.

1.                  President ,  Pratibha Devisingh Patil will inaugurate the International  Congress of Mathematicians (ICM) at Hyderabad on 19th August 2010. 

2.                  Women’s hockey World Cup 2010 to be held in Rosario, Argentina, from Aug 29 to Sep 11.

3.                  The Congress Yatra, to commemorate the 125th year of Congress' foundation, will culminate on November 10 with a rally of party President Sonia Gandhi at Allahabad.
