1. Ceremonial reception for Senior General Than Shwe, Chairman State Peace & Development Council, Union of Myanmar , at 9:00 AM at  Rashtrapati Bhavan .

2. BJP Parliamentary Party meeting begins at 9:30 AM at Parlaiment Annexe.

3. The National Federation Cup , the three day aquatics event, will be held at Dr. S.P Mukherjee Swimming Complex. The swimming heats will begin at 9:00 AM while the swimming finals will begin at 4:00 PM and Diving events will start at 12 noon. The shuttle will leave for the venue at 8 am, 11am, and 3 pm.

4. Senior General Than Shwe, Chairman State Peace & Development Council, Union of Myanmar will lay wreath at the Samadhi of Mahatma Gandhi at  Rajghat at 9:30 AM.

5. Protest march for NO CASTE IN CENSUS on July 27 to start from 10:00 AM from 13, Barakhamba Road to , Jantar Manatar

6. Senior General Than Shwe, Chairman State Peace & Development Council, Union of Myanmar will meet Minister of External Affairs SM Krishna at  Hotel ITC Maurya at 10:15 AM.

7. Minister for Tourism and HUPA Kumari Selja to inaugurate the 2-day National Workshop on “Sustainable Tourism Criteria for India” at 10.30 a.m.at Banquet Hall, Hotel The Ashok, Chanakyapuri, New Delhi.

8. FICCI is organising an interactive meeting with U Tin Naing Thein, Minister for Commerce, Myanmar at 11:20 AM at FICCI, Tansen Marg .

9. KENWOOD organizes a press conference at 12.30 PM at Hotel tajman Singh tpo launch Kenwood Indian Chapter and unveiling of Kenwood’s new range of Kitchen appliances.

10. ENGINEERS INDIA LIMITED is coming up with the company's FPO. The Board of  Directors organize a session followed by the press conference at 1.15 pm, Hotel Le-Meridien, New Delhi). Mr. S.Sundareshan, Secretary,Government of India would grace the occasion.

11. WOMEN'S RESERVATION BILL : Annie Raja(NFIW), Sudha Sundaraman (AIDWA), Jyotsna Chatterjee (JWP), Ranjana Kumari (CSR & WPC), Beulah Shekhar (YWCA of India) and Shabnam Hashmi (ANHAD) will interact with members of the media at 2 P.M at the Indian Women's Press Corps, 5, Windsor Place, and talk about a huge, national demonstration planned for 29th July at Jantar Mantar.

12. Dr. M.S. Gill, Union Minister for Youth Affairs & Sports will inaugurate Remodeled & Reconstructed Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in the presence of Smt. Sheila Dikshit, Chief Minister , at 3.00P.M. at JAWAHARLAL NEHRU STADIUM, NEW DELHI.

13. Release of Survivors Citizens for Justice and Peace Report 2010 submitted to the Committee for the Elimination of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW) to be presented by Brinda Karat , MP, Rajya Sabha & Aruna Roy, Member of National Advisory Council at 3:00 PM at Dy Chairman Hall , Constitution Club , Rafi Marg .

14. Senior General Than Shwe, Chairman State Peace & Development Council, Union of Myanmar , will meet Leader of Opposition ( Lok Sabha) Sushma Swaraj at Hotel ITC Maurya at 3:30 PM.

15. Anand Sharma, Union Minister of Commerce and Industry, to hold stakeholders consultation regarding performance of export sector with Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) at Committee Room No.47, Udyog Bhawan at 3.45 p.m.

16. Senior General Than Shwe, Chairman State Peace & Development Council, Union of Myanmar will meet Vice President at  Hotel ITC Maurya at 4:00 PM .

17. Prithviraj Chavan, Minister of state for S&T , will be Chief guest on the occasion of  celebration of  Earth Sciences Foundation Day at 4:00 PM at Plenary Hall, Vigyan Bhavan, New Delhi. Prof. M S Swaminathan, M S Research Foundation, Chennai will be Guest of Honour.

18. Senior General Than Shwe, Chairman State Peace & Development Council, Union of Myanmar , will meet Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh at Hyderabad House at 4:45 PM for Delegation level talks & Signing of Agreements. (Media entry through Gate No 3, Kasturba Gandhi  Marg side)

19. Dinsha J. Patel, Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises will be the Chief Guest at Credit Guarantee Fund Trust for Micro and Small Enterprise’s 10th Foundation Day at 6.00 p.m. at Hall No. 4,  Vigyan Bhavan, Maulana Azad Road.

20. Senior General Than Shwe, Chairman State Peace & Development Council, Union of Myanmar will call on the President Pratibha Devisngh Patil at Rashtrapati Bhawan at 7:30 PM.Banquet also to follow.  

21. Empowered Group of Ministers on gas allocation is expected to meet today. TIME NOT CONFIRMED.

22. MUMBAI : The three-member disciplinary committee of BCCI will meet today to discuss the Lalit Modi issue.

23. MUMBAI : Reserve Bank of India will announce the first quarter review of monetary policy for 2010-11 at 12:00 Noon.

1.                  President ,  Pratibha Devisingh Patil will inaugurate the International  Congress of Mathematicians (ICM) at Hyderabad on 19th August 2010. 

2.                  Women’s hockey World Cup 2010 to be held in Rosario, Argentina, from Aug 29 to Sep 11.

3.                  The Congress Yatra, to commemorate the 125th year of Congress' foundation, will culminate on November 10 with a rally of party President Sonia Gandhi at Allahabad.
