1. 2. National Centre for Promotion of Employment for Disabled People (NCPEDP) organizes the 1st Award Ceremony of NCPEDP - Mphasis Universal Design Awards – 2010 from 11:00am  onwards at Stein Auditorium, India Habitat Centre. Chief Guest: Dr S.Y. Quraishi, Chief Election Commissioner of India.

3. Bhoomiheen Sangharsh Samiti to stage demo near Parliament at 11.30 AM .

4. Storm Fashion organize Female Model Audition at 11.30 AM at The Grand Hotel, Vasant Kunj for Jaipur International  Fashion Week.

5. Panun Kashmir, the frontline organization of ‘Internally Displaced’ Kashmiri Pandits is holding an important Press Conference at  Press Club India, Raisin Road, from 12:15 PM onwards . The Press Conference will be addressed by two senior functionaries of the organization - Sh. Kamal Hak and Sh. Ramesh Manvati.

6. Finance Minister, Pranab Mukherjee will review the performance of all the Public Sector Banks and Financial Institutions in which all the CMDs and CEOs of  PSBs along with Dy. Governor of Reserve Bank of India and Chairman, NABARD are likely to participate.Pranab Mukherjee will address a Press Conference after the meeting at 1.30 P.M. at  Vigyan Bhavan Annexe, New Delhi

Vivekananda International Foundation organizes a  Talk on 'Indian Armed Forces: A tradition of Heroism and Leadership' by Gen V N Sharma (Retd), Former COAS .A graphic War Novel on 'Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan AC' by Aditya Bakshi shall also be launched at 6.00PM  at Vivekananda International Foundation             3 San Martin Marg, Chanakyapuri .

12. President , Pratibha Devisingh Patil will address the nation on the eve of the 64th Independence Day in Hindi followed by English from 7:00  P.M. onwards.

ON WATCH - RADAR & FORTHCOMING EVENTS

1.                  Shashi Tharoor - Sunanda wedding on Aug 22 at Sree Padmanabha Swami temple in thiruvananthapuram.

2.                  President ,  Pratibha Devisingh Patil will inaugurate the International  Congress of Mathematicians (ICM) at Hyderabad on 19th August 2010. 

3.                  Women’s hockey World Cup 2010 to be held in Rosario, Argentina, from Aug 29 to Sep 11.

4.                  The Akhil Bhartiya Gujjar Arakshan Sangarsh Samiti (ABGASS) would launch a fresh agitation in Rajasthan from August 29 if its demand of five per cent reservation to gujjars was not granted.

5.                  The Congress Yatra, to commemorate the 125th year of Congress' foundation, will culminate on November 10 with a rally of party President Sonia Gandhi at Allahabad.
