1.      Dr. Girija Vyas  ,  Chairman, Women Commission of India , will give "BRAHAMAN SHIROMANI AWARD" to GN Bhatt , Jt Director , Rajasthan Information Centre , at 1:00 PM at V.P. Hall, Constitution Club, Rafi Marg, New Delhi .  Satyavarat Chaturvedi and other prominent Brahmin leaders will be present at the ceremony.

2.      Kashmiris living in Delhi alongwith members of civil society shall hold a peaceful meeting to protest against the continued spell of violence in Kashmir at 4:30pm at Jantar Mantar, Near Parliament Street, New Delhi

3.      The Wrestling Federation of India [WFI] is holding Selection Trial for selecting the Free Style, Greco Roman Style & Female probables for participation in the Commonwealth Games-2010 and 2010 Senior World Wrestling Championship [Russia]. The trial will be held on 8th of AUGUST at STC SONEPAT for Free Style & Greco Roman Style.

4.      Live concert of Ustad Rahat Fateh Ali Khan at 7:00 PM at Huda Gymkhana Club , Sec 29 ,Gurgaon.

1.                  Shashi Tharoor - Sunanda wedding on Aug 17 at Sree Padmanabha Swami temple in thiruvananthapuram

2.                  President ,  Pratibha Devisingh Patil will inaugurate the International  Congress of Mathematicians (ICM) at Hyderabad on 19th August 2010. 

3.                  Women’s hockey World Cup 2010 to be held in Rosario, Argentina, from Aug 29 to Sep 11.

4.                  The Akhil Bhartiya Gujjar Arakshan Sangarsh Samiti (ABGASS) would launch a fresh agitation in Rajasthan from August 29 if its demand of five per cent reservation to gujjars was not granted.

5.                  The Congress Yatra, to commemorate the 125th year of Congress' foundation, will culminate on November 10 with a rally of party President Sonia Gandhi at Allahabad.
