ASSIGNMENT , NOV 15, 2010

1.      A RAJA resigns …Prime Minister will give a statement on the issue in Parliament.

2.      Access Development Services organizes the 7th Annual Microfinance India Summit On 15th – 16th November from 9:30 a.m. onwards at Hotel Ashoka, Ashok Shopping Arcade Chanakyapuri, New Delhi. 3.      A delegation of fifteen French schools and universities will be on a 5-day visit to India to promote French language courses in France. Jérôme Bonnafont, Ambassador of France to India, will introduce the institutional meetings between the representatives of the French language training centres, and principals and French teachers of schools at 9:30 a.m. at the Auditorium-French Embassy 2/50E Shantipath, Chanakyapuri.

4.      Subodh Kant Sahai, Minister for Food Processing Industries to have bilateral meeting with a delegation from Germany led by Ms.Ilse Aigner, Federal Minister of Food, Agriculture and Consumer Protection at 10.00 A.M. at  Aftab Mahtab, Taj Mahal Hotel, Mansingh Road.

5.      Ghulam Nabi Azad, Minister for Health & Family Welfare will be the Chief Guest at the inaugural function of ICMR Centenary Celebrations at 10 .30 a.m. at B.S. Abdur Rehman Auditorium (1st Floor), India Islamic Cultural Centre, 87-88 Lodhi Road, New Delhi.

6.      The Supreme Court will hear the petition against telecom minister A Raja for allegedly causing huge revenue loss due to distribution of 2G spectrum.A bench comprising Justice GS Singhvi and Justice AK Ganguly would hear the two petitions filed by one NGO CPIL and Subramanian Swamy alleging Rs70,000 crore corruption in the entire spectrum allocation.

7.      Tibetan motor-bike protest rally against Asian Games  in China will begin from 11:00 AM at Ramlila ground and will proceed to Jantar mantar.

  1. The member companies of the Global Intelligent Utility Network Coalition (GIUNC) organize a Summit on "INDIA’S SMART GRID TRANSFORMATION JOURNEY" from  11:00 am onwards at  Diwan-I-AM Hall, The Taj Mahal Hotel, 1, Mansingh Road.

9.      ŠkodaAuto launches the much awaited ‘Škoda Yeti’ to be unveiled by Thomas Kuehl, Director and Board Member, Sales and Marketing, ŠkodaAuto India Day at 11:00 am  at CIBO, Hotel Janpath, Connaught Place, New Delhi.

10.  The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts and Indian Council for Cultural Relations, New Delhi and the Embassy of India, Washington, D.C. wll host a press conference at 3:30 pm at the Maharani Hall at The Claridges, New Delhi. They are very shortly going to organize “ maximum INDIA “ , a festival featuring hundreds of artists that highlights the Arts & Culture of India.

11.  German Federal Minister, Ilse  Aigner will call on Sharad Pawar, Minister of Agriculture, Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution at Room No. 142,  Krishi Bhawan, at 4.30 p.m.

12.  Dinsha J. Patel, Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises will inaugurate Techmart India, 2010, MSME Expo 2010 Pavillion at International Trade Fair, Pragati Maidan, New Delhi at 5.00 p.m. at Techmart India 2010 – Hall No. 14 MSME Expo 2010 – Hall No. 3, IITF, Pragati Maidan, New Delhi.
