1.      Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh will inaugurate the National Panchayati Raj Diwas at  09.30 a.m. at  Plenary Hall,  Vigyan  Bhawan, New Delhi. Minister of  Rural Development & Panchayati Raj Dr. C.P. Joshi will also address the function.

2.      UNESCO & Times Foundation in association with The American Resource Centre organizes the launch of ‘Donate a Book initiative’ . Dr. Kanwar Sain, Mayor of Delhi , Justice Leila Seth will participate in Panel discussion on IMPORTANCE OF BOOKS IN SCHOOLS AND PROMOTION OF READING THROUGH COMMUNITY at The American Centre, New Delhi from  9:00 am to 11:30 am.

3.      DPCC seminar to be addressed by Anand Sharma , JP Agrawal , Sheila Dixit and Manishankar Aiyar at 11.30 AM at Satyagrah Mandap , Gandhi Darshan near Rajghat.

4.       Press Conference to release the recommendations from the national conference on “ENSURING FOOD SECURITY IN A CHANGING CLIMATE” by Dr. Suman Sahai of Gene Campaign and Mr. Sandeep Chachra of  Action Aid at 03.00 PM at Constitution Club ( Speakers Hall), Rafi Marg,  New Delhi- 110001

5.      SAGE PUBLICATION releases their  book OUR TOXIC WORLD at 5:00 pm at the Oxford Bookstore, Statesman House, 148 Barakhamba Road.

6.      HarperCollins Publishers India in association with Nehru Memorial Museum and Library launch their book HISTORY IN THE MAKING , the visual archives of Kulwant Roy at 6.00 p.m. at the Auditorium, Library Building. Nehru Memorial Museum and Library Teen Murti House, New Delhi. Gopal Krishna Gandhi, former Governor of West Bengal, will release the book and Gursharan Kaur , wife of Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh , will be the guest of honour.

7.      STAR PLUS organizes  ZARA NACH KE DIKHA with glamorous participants like SANGEETA GHOSH, SUSHANT RAJPUT, KARAN KUNDRA AND MUKTI MOHAN....as they prove their mettle on the Dance Meter at Ansal Plaza Centre, Atrium from 6.00 pm onwards

ON WATCH - RADAR & FORTHCOMING EVENTS

1. Pranab Mukherjee's has cancelled his first visit as finance minister to the USA to attend the Spring Meetings of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank Group .

2. The special court  will pronounce its verdict in Kasab Case on May 3.
