1. Hom Minister P Chidambaram will be unveiling the Disaster Response Document at NDMA Building , Safdarjang Enclave at 9:00 AM.

2. Jairam Ramesh, Minister of State for the Ministry of Environment and Forests (Independent charge) will attend the Workshop on ‘Innovative instruments for Environmental Regulation” from 10.00 A M onwards at Mirza Ghalib Hall, SCOPE Complex,  Lodhi Road.

3. Dr. Y. V. Reddy, Former Governor, RBI  will be addressing a seminar on “INTERNATIONAL MONETARY SYSTEM IN THE WAKE OF THE EUROPEAN SOVEREIGN DEBT CRISIS” at 11:00 AM at the ICRIER’s Conference Room, Core 6-A, 4th Floor, India Habitat Centre, Lodi Road, New Delhi.

4. Sitaram Yechuri , Chairman , Department-related Parliamentary Standing Committee on Transport, Tourism and Culture will present the 160^th Report of the Committee on “ The National Road Safety and Traffic management Board Bill 2010 “ TP THE Chairman , Rajya Sabha at 11:00 AM in Room No. 30 , Parliament House.

5. Sitaram yechuri will address a press conference in Main Committee Room , Ground Floor , Parliament House Annexe at 12:00 PM.  

6. Vice President , M. Hamid Ansari ,  will release a book entitled “Encircling the Seamless : India Climate Change, and the Global Commons” written by the Prof. A  Damodaran at 5.15 PM at           Conference Hall, 6 Maulana Azad Road, Vice President’s House , New Delhi.

7. A talk on the subject WHY CHINA CANNOT BECOME THE NEXT SUPER POWER is being organized from 6:00 PM onwards at IIC annexe Auditorium. The Speaker is Maj.Gen retd Vinod Saighal and other Tibetan scholars.

8. HarperCollins India is launching ‘Delhi Calm’ written by Vishwajyoti Ghose at Conference Room III & Lawns, India International Centre Annexe, Max Muller Marg, at 7.00pm. Paranjoy Guha Thakurta will be in conversation with the author .

9. Monish Gujral , Chairman & Managing Director, Moti Mahal Delux  launches its  READY-TO-EAT RANGE OF FOOD  with Vir Sanghvi , Mohammad Azharuddin, Sandeep Dixit, JJ Vaallaya, Suneet Verma , Jas Arora , Bubbles Sabharwal , Nakul And  Timsy Anand and many more at 7:30 pm at 'Theatre Banquet', India Habitat Center ,  Lodhi Road.

2. Women’s hockey World Cup 2010 to be held in Rosario, Argentina, from Aug 29 to Sep 11.

3. The Congress Yatra, to commemorate the 125th year of Congress' foundation, will culminate on November 10 with a rally of party President Sonia Gandhi at Allahabad.
