·        All India Manufacturers and Retailers of Garments to assemble at Canaught Place near Mohan Lal Sons to protest against the hike in excise duty on branded clothes at 9:30 AM.

·        An Exhibition-Cum-Sale of Unique Heirloom Sarees Crafted By Master Weavers  will be inaugurated by  Gursharan Kaur , wife of Prime Minister dr Manmohan Singh , at  10.30 A.M. at Central Cottage Industries Emporium, Jawahar Vyapar Bhawan, Janpath .

·        Mobile Value Added Services (VAS) and ICT related Livelihood Skills for women’s Self Help Groups (SHGs) will be launched by  President Pratibha Patil at 11.00 a.m. at  Hall No. 6, Vigyan Bhawan,

·        The Union Minister of Urban Development, Kamal Nath will receive Report of the High Power Expert Committee for Estimating Investment Requirements for Urban Infrastructure Services from its Chair person   Dr. Isher Judge Ahluwalia at 11.30 a.m. at Room No.123-C , Nirman Bhawan .

·        The Central Cooperatives Cell of the Bharatiya Janata Party has decided to hold a massive “Protest Rally” outside Parliament to protest against the UPA-II government’s decision to levy direct taxes on Cooperative societies throughout the country from 1st April 2012. The protest begins at 11:30 Am from Jantar Mantar.

·        Sikh organizations demo at 12.00 NOON from Gurdwara Bangla Sahib, Jai Singh Road to Jantar Mantar  New Delhi, to protest against the alleged  illegality committed by the Delhi Police/Government to shield Sajjan Kumar in 1984-Sikh massacre case.

·        Vigyan Prasar announces its programme on “Women's Health and Empowerment for Prosperity and Social Change."  At 12.30 P M at Press Club of India.

·        A seminar entitled “The French PPP Approach in Public Infrastructure” will be inaugurated by French Minister of State for Transport, Thierry Mariani , Kamal Nath, Minister of Urban Development, at 4:15 PM at India Habitat Centre Lodi Road

·        As part of the on-going Centenary Celebrations of Civil Aviation in India, the 100th year of the International Women’s Day is being commemorated by the enactment of a street play which will be staged by the noted theatre artist Arvind Gaur and the event will be presided over by the Minister of Civil Aviation Vayalar Ravi at 4.30 p.m. at Rajiv Gandhi Bhawan Lawns, New Delhi.
