 ·        The Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Women and Child Development Krishna Tirath will  present the Stree Shakti Puraskar at 9.30 a.m. at  Plenary Hall, Vigyan Bhawan, Maulana Azad Road, New Delhi.

·        Meira Kumar will be the chief guest at the Smt Indrani Devi Centenary Lecture at Vithal Bhai Patel House at 9:30 AM.

·        Salma Ansari, Wife of the Vice President of India will inaugurate a Seminar on “Women’s Health and Empowerment for Prosperity and Social Change” organised by Vigyan Prasar, at 10:00 AM at Vugyan Bhavan.

·        India and Brazil will be signing an Air Service Agreement at 10.30  a.m. at  AAI Seminar Hall,  Third Floor, Rajiv Gandhi Bhawan.

·        FICCI organizes a  discussion on ‘Women : The Power House of the 21st Century : A reality check’ at 11:00 AM  at FICCI, Federation House, Tansen Marg, New Delhi.

·        Meira Kumar will attend the function to mark the International Women day at Shri Gidamber Jain Mahila Ashram at Daryaganj at 1:00 PM.

·        North East Support Centre & Helpline will release its Research Project Report on “North East Indian Migration and Challenges in National Capital Cities,” on International Woman Day at 2:00  PM. at North East Support Centre & Helpline /RZ 61, 4th Floor, Palam Vihar, Sector 6, Dwarka,

·        Chief Minister of Delhi, Sheila Dikshit has kindly consented to be the Chief Guest at the Women’s Day Award Function being organized by Railway Women’s Welfare Central Organisation at 3.30 p.m. at Auditorium, National Rail Museum, Chanakyapuri,  New Delhi.

·        As part of the Centenary Celebrations of Civil Aviation in India the Ministry of Civil Aviation will award outstanding women achievers in the field of aviation at 6.00  p.m. at Hall No.5, Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi.
